INDIVIDUAL THERAPY -
TELEHEALTH / $130 - 50 min

I currently conduct 50 minute therapy sessions via telehealth. If you are interested in in-person sessions, check out my Walk and Talk Therapy page. In my individual counseling sessions, I use a variety of techniques including:

- Parts Work: This is a therapeutic lens that assumes that each of us has many different parts within our whole selves. One part of me wants to go to the gym and another part wants to sit on the couch and watch 6 hours of America’s Next Top Model (which is my guilty pleasure). One part of me is really happy for my coworker who got a promotion and another part of me is intensely jealous. When we’re not attuned to our parts, they can have a way of making us act in ways that might not align with our values, or make us feel guilt and shame. Each of our parts has unique needs, wants, and beliefs, and some may be unconsciously and unintentionally harming us. In parts work, I help you bring awareness to the many different parts within you – giving each a voice, learning each one's needs, wants, and fears.  When we're able to develop a deeper understanding of our parts and integrate them into our whole selves, we have a greater ability to heal.

- CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): Discover how your thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviors are all connected. We will explore how negative patterns of thought about your view of self, view of others and view of the world are impacting you, and challenge these thoughts in order to alter unwanted behavioral patterns.

- DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy): Develop skills that will help you navigate powerful feelings such as shame and anxiety in a more effective way. We will work together to help you unlearn reactive behaviors to these difficult emotions such as avoidance or running away, and  increase your ability to sit in and learn from these experiences.

- Mindfulness: Mindfulness helps us focus on the present and live in the moment. When we are mindful, we are more able to recognize what's happening internally (thoughts, feelings, sensations and impulses) as well as using your senses to tune into what's happening around you. Mindfulness is an integral key in being able to practice healthy coping skills when we are in the midst of emotional pain.
